We are excited to be starting our Family Life Care program. This will take place in our Des Moines home (534 42nd St, Des Moines, IA 50312), every other Thursday night from 5pm-8pm. This is a time for our alumni to ger together and find community. We are in need of childcare for these nights, this way our moms can have a time of fellowship! If you are interested, click the link! We will need prior background checks and statements of faith.
Family Life Care
Our prayer team is foundational to this ministry. Every day at Ruth Harbor we are walking beside moms and sharing Jesus with them. We would love for you to be involved in praying with us! There is an email that is sent out every month with updates on prayer request and praises. There is also a zoom call that takes place on first Tuesday of every month at 3pm. Prayer Team
Helping Maintain and beautify the properties of Ruth Harbor allows the women we serve to be welcomed into an environment of safety and healing. Bring your small group out and help with landscaping, property maintenance deep cleaning, or various projects around the homes.
Group Service Projects
Transportation is always a need in our homes. Most of our mothers are unable to drive. The house parents do a fantastic job of getting every to work, daycare, etc. However, it is always helpful to have more drivers, especially when the homes are filled. This position would require an interview, statement of faith, background check, and a confidentiality statement must be signed. If you are interested please reach out and we will get back to you with further details.
Transportation/ Drivers
Our homes can get busy. Freezer meals is a great way to serve. They can help take the stress of dinner off our moms, on those long days. Our moms like beef and chicken. Currently our Carlisle home is full so plan to feed 7 kids and 6 adults.
