2022 Banquet Report

Wow! Look what God has done!

2022 Fundraising Banquet Report

We are excited to report to the Ruth Harbor community the results of last week's Fundraising Banquet. Here is a short summary of the evening:

A Record Number of Guests

We had more than 660 guests join us on the night of the banquet. This was a record number for our annual banquet.

A highlight of the evening was the testimony of our alumna, Rose. Her story of life transformation left the audience rejoicing with Rose.

The Ruth Harbor Family

We introduced The Ruth Harbor Family, our next step to extend our opportunity to serve women beyond our current maternity home and mother-child home. The Ruth Harbor Family includes the following components:

  • Hiring a Family Advocate to intentionally stay in contact with our moms after they graduate from Ruth Harbor

  • The funds to provide a safety net and as-needed assistance as moms adjust to life as single moms,

  • The pursuit of apartment living where a mom is independent with her own home and Ruth Harbor is the landlord.

Nicole C. Mullen blessed the audience with her powerful testimony and inspiring music. She literally left the crowd standing as she concluded her time with her song, My Redeemer Lives.

Passing The Baton

We took another step in our executive director transition with an actual baton passing from Mark McDougal to Chris Eller. We are thankful to the Ruth Harbor board for their wise stewardship of both our resources and our legacy.

We stand amazed at the generosity of our donor community. To date, we are on track to see more than $250,000 given to help support pregnant women and their children who come to us looking for housing, but find family.

Please consider joining us in our mission of seeing homes where God's love transforms lives. For more than 50 years the pro-life community has fought hard for the life of unborn children, and this past June we won the first victory in this battle when the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. Now, we must take care of the women who choose life for their baby rather than abortion. As one donor recently told is, "I've been pro-life for a long time, but now it is time to be pro-mamma, too."

You can join us as a one-time donor or become a part of The Ruth Harbor Family and become a regular monthly donor. Together we can make a difference and see God transform lives two generations at a time.
